Do you do more than cruises?

This is a question I’m often asked, since my travel business is called Cruising the Pacific. The simple answer is YES, yes I have partnerships with suppliers all over the world and can help you with ALL your travel wants & needs.

Welcome if you’re new to Cruising the Pacific. If you like learning about travel and better yet traveling, remember to subscribe to stay in the know and share on your social media to help others find this valuable content.

Let’s get started, the reason I chose the name Cruising the Pacific is it has a double meaning.  It can mean a literal cruise, or it can also mean a pacific road trip. Plus I love the name and so do many of you, who helped me decide which one to go with.

While I can help you with all things travel, I will go onto say my passion and expertise is in cruises. No one person can know everything inside and out in the entire world.  That’s why it’s important for us travel advisors to specialize. For instance just in cruises alone there’s over 250 cruise ships globally.  That’s already a lot to know. Like in all industries there are specialties and travel is no different. Great news is I’m part of a network of over 4,000 travel advisors. We all share our knowledge with each other and are willing to help each other out.

In addition to cruises, I do help many people with their California trips, as I’m a local. And I’m also a Hawaii specialist, as that’s another one of my favorite vacation spots.

For me picking a specialty was easy.  I LOVE cruising! I’ve been on all the major Caribbean itineraries, Alaska and Hawaii.  I love unpacking once vs multiple flights and hotels.  Living out of a bag is not my style.  Plus I love how the ship moves while we sleep, so you wake up the next day and you’re set to explore another place.  It’s a great way to sample an area AND if there’s more you want to see, you can always do a return cruise or trip.

If you’ve never been on a cruise, by far what made me fall in love the fastest is the top notch service.  Even if you’re not on a luxury ship, the décor is incredible, the staff is always smiling and ready to help.  Your room is also serviced multiple times per day. For comparison, as a travel advisor, I stay in hotels almost monthly. I’m sure many of you know, now with COVID you need to request to have your room serviced. Another big win for the cruise industry. You don’t need to ask.

Cruise ships have chefs on board, so the food selections change daily.  You will not see the same items on the buffet daily like you would at an all-inclusive resort.  While you are at port, the crew stocks up on local foods of the area and menus are designed based off of what was picked up at port. This is another great way to experience different dishes of various cultures.

I’m a foodie and sometimes would love to try a dish, but I’m not brave enough to try on my own at home, or it’s just not available.  I encourage you to get out of your comfort zone and try foods you may not have had before.  Great news is if you order something and you don’t like it, then you can get something else.  Unlike dining at a restaurant where you’d have to purchase another entrée, on cruises the food is bottomless lol.

I could go on and on about cruising but I’ll keep that for another post.

I would love to hear from you and what cruises you’ve been on.  Let us know in the comments below.  Do you have a favorite destination and/or cruise line?  If you’ve never been on a cruise and looking forward to trying one, where would you like to go?  What’s on your bucket list?

For those of you looking for help with your travel plans, no trip is too small. For instance, especially with COVID you NEED travel insurance to protect your trip and I can help with that as well. Plus I’ll help you navigate the always changing regulations.  That’s what us advisors do. We offer advice, help you have the best trips AND support you every step of the way.  That’s something the online travel stores don’t do.

I encourage you to check out my website CruisingthePacific.com. Near the top you’ll see a link “Win a Free Vacation!” This is a great place to start.  Yes, it’s a legit trip my agency gives away.  We are keeping COVID in mind and offering local US trips at the moment.

If you’re ready to turn your maybes into memories, you can email me at info@cruisingthepacific.com or call/text 209-747-4332. I can be found on Facebook and Instagram @cruisingthepacific. Until next time TTFN friends.
